James is the Managing Director of the GTC Legal Group, and brings to the role 25 years’ legal experience. Starting his career as a commercial litigation lawyer at Sparke Helmore, James moved on to Clayton Utz and then spent 5 years as a commercial and criminal barrister. In 2009, James started the website www.gotocourt.com.au and founded the law firm Go To Court Lawyers. In 2010 he started the website www.allcourts.com.au and founded the law firm All Courts Lawyers. The GTC Legal Group, incorporating all of the above, was formed in 2018, and acquired its main competitor Armstrong Legal in 2019.
The GTC Legal Group now has over 150 staff, with another 1850 law firms across Australia having joined the Group as Network Partners. The GTC Legal Advice Hotline currently receives about 80,000 enquiries a year from Australians looking for legal assistance.
James is also a director and co-founder of Nebula Tech Pty Ltd, a software company fast becoming known for the creation of one of the only legal practice management systems in the world to be based on Salesforce – NebuLAW.
