Ala Namoa holds a Bachelor of Arts from Newcastle University, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Sydney and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. Ala was admitted to legal practice in the New South Wales Supreme Court on 6 July 2012.

Ala has over 10 years’ experience practising in immigration law and other areas of administrative Law. She is experienced in all areas of Australian visas, particularly General Skilled Migration Visas, Family Visas, Protection Visas, Student Visas, Partner Visas, Bridging Visas, Australian Citizenship, Ministerial Interventions, visa refusals and visa cancellations. She has run appeals in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT), Federal Circuit Court and Federal Court.

Outside of work, Ala volunteers at her local church, enjoys travelling, camping, dining out and spending quality time with family and friends.
